Gastric Dilatation-Volvulus (GDV) is a life-threatening emergency, most common in large, deep-chested breeds. Pyotraumatic dermatitis is a bacterial skin infection that spreads quickly, often starting from a scratch, bite or itchy spot. It's most common in thick-coated breeds. A serious hot spot can develop within minutes, so contact your veterinarian right away.
