Receptionist

Looking for pleasant and professional reception staff members that have good computer, telephone/in-person and written communication skills, can multi-task and handle unexpected situations with aplomb.

Candidate requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years office experience, preferrably in veterinary office setting
  • Computer data entry and ability to quickly learn software and technology
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with strong customer relations skills

Duties include:

  • Greeting clients and pets
  • Answering telephone
  • Scheduling appointments for all services
  • Confirming guest’s vaccination and medical records
  • Taking payments by cash, check or credit card
  • Promoting and selling services and retail products
  • General clerical work

Veterinary Technician

Looking for full and part-time veterinary technicians to handle small animals, assist doctors, use veterinary equipment and technology. Successful candidate will be even-tempered and friendly, and have the ability to adapt to rapidly changing working environments.

Candidate requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience working in a vetarinary hospital setting
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degress in Veterinary Technology preferred
  • Pleasant and even-tempered personality
  • Good verbal and written communicatoin skills
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
  • Strong client relationship skills

Duties include:

  • Assist DVM in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments and other medical procedures
  • Obtaining and processing labortatory samples, including blood, urine/fecal, free fluide and fine needle aspirates
  • Operating digital radiology equipment
  • In-person and telephone communication with clients

 

Senior Pet Groomer

We’re looking for a part-time/full-time animal groomer experienced with both dogs and cats. Successful candidate will have a friendly and caring personality and good interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients.

Candidate requirements:

  • 3 or more years experience with dog and cat grooming
  • Ability to handle rapidly changing working conditions
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to meet prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Can work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work various shifts per week, including weekends and early evenings

Duties include:

  • Pre-wash and post-dry brush outs
  • Bathing and drying dogs and cats
  • Clipping, shaving, and trimming coats
  • Trimming nails, face and feet
  • Cleaning healthy ears
  • Identifying and dealing with common health problems
  • Providing simple furnishing trims and hygiene clips

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to water and soap
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

 

 

 

Kennel/Daycare Staff

We are looking for responsible, hardworking, mature dog lovers that can handle physically demanding and repetitive duties, and quickly adapt to changing work environments. Technical, office, or phone skills are not required, but would be preferred.

Candidate requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of dog handling experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Ability to identify dog behaviors and postures
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Even-tempered and upbeat

Duties include:

  • Daily handing of dogs of all sizes and breeds
  • Exercising dogs outdoors multiple times a day, year round
  • Supervising indoor and outdoor play time with dogs of all sizes and breeds
  • Feeding and cleaning up after dogs
  • Maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility
  • Regular communication with clients and coworkers

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors, year round
