SERVICES IN DETAIL

Wellness Visits

The wellness visit is a very important part of your pet’s health. During this time, your pet’s doctor will discuss the best preventative care needs for extending the health and wellbeing of your pet. Through communication between you and your pet’s doctor, yearly or bi-yearly exams will be recommended due to the gradual onset of health problems that can occur as your pet ages.

Diagnostics

Laboratory testing plays an integral role in the early detection of changes in your pet’s health.

Laboratory tests provide essential information by which your pet’s doctor can identify infections, blood disorders, kidney, liver, endocrine, and many other diseases that, early on, your pet would not show signs of. This allows your pet’s doctor to treat your pet in a more effective manner.

At Wellington Circle Veterinary Center we have a laboratory that provides fast and accurate information so that your pet can receive appropriate treatment immediately after arriving at the hospital. When more sophisticated testing is required, we utilize a certified veterinary laboratory offering the expertise of board-certified specialists in pathology, hematology, internal medicine and radiology.

For your convenience we can also schedule in-house veterinary specialists in several different fields including surgery, internal medicine, and cardiology.

Dentistry

Dental disease, specifically periodontal disease, is the most common ailment affecting pet dogs and cats. At Wellington Circle Veterinary Center, we feel it is very important that our clients realize the impact dental care can have on their pet’s overall health.

An infection in your pet’s mouth is just like one in his or her kidney, heart, liver or lung. His body becomes stressed as it tries to chronically fight that infection. The infection can easily spread from the gums throughout the body via the bloodstream. Dental infections are responsible for about 80% of heart valve disease which result in heart murmurs.

We offer ultrasonic teeth cleaning and digital dental radiography that provides your pet with good oral health. As an adjunct to teeth cleaning, we recommend an at home dental plan that your pet’s doctor will specifically design to your pet’s needs.

Surgery

Our team of doctors along with our boarded surgeons at Wellington Circle Veterinary Center, are able to perform most surgical procedures. Examples include spays, neuters, abdominal surgeries, mass removals and orthopedic (bone and joint). We provide an individualized anesthetic and pain management protocol for each pet undergoing surgery. For your pet’s safety, our surgical suite is equipped with the latest in veterinary monitoring equipment including EKG, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, heart rate and respiration rate.
